Dear Seniors,
Actually, ours is a construction company, and we follow the following pattern:
- BASIC: 50%
- HRA: 25%
- DA: 15%
- OTHERS: 10%
I WANT TO MODIFY THE STRUCTURE IN SUCH A WAY THAT MORE NON-TAXABLE ITEMS ARE INCLUDED IN THE PAY STRUCTURE. CAN ANYONE SUGGEST BOOKS WHERE I CAN FIND TAXABLE AND NON-TAXABLE ITEMS IN THE PAY STRUCTURE? IF ANYONE HAS THE SOFT COPY, PLEASE EMAIL ME AT vasavibuddepu@gmail.com.
Thank you very much for spending a couple of minutes reading this.

Dear Vasavi,
For getting acquainted with the taxable/non-taxable items in the salary structure, go through the book of Income Tax which gives special emphasis on "Income from salary." You will find such books easily in bookshops.

You may follow this salary structure also. The contents of the salary break up are as below; you can prepare it at your own convenience.

CCA - Rs. 825/- as exempted from Taxes
Other Allowances:
- Medical Allowance of rupees 1250/- exempted from taxes
- Mobile Reimbursement / Month
Gross Per Month = Sum of all the above.
Hope it is clear to you now. If you have any queries, feel free to ask.

Hi Ammit,
This is Raghavender from Hyderabad. I am a frequent visitor of CiteHR. Your postings are nice and good. I had my MBA (HR) from OU and am presently working as an office admin. I am searching for an HR executive job, but I couldn't find one. Please help me decide whether I should continue in the admin field or transition to HR generalist roles.
Can anybody provide assistance regarding this matter?
With regards, Raghavender

Hi Raghvendra,
Thank you so much for such a nice appreciation.
In my view, if you have done an MBA in HR, then go with an HR profile. You are at the beginning of your career, so you may get a chance to switch. Otherwise, after some time, it will become difficult for you to switch to an HR profile.
So, it's better to register yourself with some leading job portals and consultancies. You can also see that many openings are available at CiteHR portal. Just contact them, and you will definitely get a good opportunity.
Wishing you all the best.

Amit Seth.

Dear Sir,
We are starting a new firm. We would like to know how to prepare the salary structure with DA, HRA, mobile-petrol reimbursements, incentives, etc. For a person who gets a consolidated salary of Rs. 8,000/10,000/12,000 + incentives, what should be the basic, % of DA, etc.
