Dear Friends,
How is pre natal maternity leave considered.
If an employee requests for maternity leave for a duration of 8 weeks proir to expected date of delivery , how do we adjust the 12 weeks ?
The organisation would like to extend 12 weeks of maternity leave only.

Hi Kavita,
But the law clearly states that
(1) No employer shall knowingly employ a woman in any establishment during the six weeks immediately following the day of her delivery or her miscarriage.
(2) No woman shall work in any establishment during the six weeks immediately following the day of her delivery or her miscarriage.
