hi palak,
no policy on payroll but one has to follow the labour acts provisions for salary making or preparing
such as
Head count means employees on roll/muster roll as on last day of the month. So one has to make salary
as per head count and left employee's F&F separately get prepare
Leaves availed and any one who went on Leave without Pay .
Leave without pay days will be deduct from that month's days
You then deduct from Gross as per Payment of Wages act such as statutory deductions and other deductions but not less than 50% of gross.
Leave policy you can down load from citehr search option and you can also get more from
labourlawreporter.net and get HRM and Labour Laws Diary in which you will find such policies models. I have this diary as I renewed my membership to get journal of HRM-LLR.
