Dear Ram Ahir,
Kindly go through the Building & other construction workers (BOCW) act, also you can go through the factories Health and Safety act, Shop & Establishment act, which will give you the insight of Welfare activity and your duties.

I am dealing with a construction contractor as a client. I am asking for the deputation of a Labour Welfare Officer, but the number of workmen is less than 500. The contractor is avoiding appointing a Labour Welfare Officer as the number of workers is 250. How should I deal with this situation? I am quoting BOCWA to the contractor, and there are no specific instructions in the BOCW Act. Please guide me.
