Dear All
In our plant we are making large shed for our material storage's... The maximum height of the same is around 35 meter... The workers working on the top of it by wearing the reflective jacket...
In this scenario while the people working on the top, honey bees are all of sudden coming and resting upon the body and on the helmet top of the employees... I don't whether these bees are attracting by the reflective jacket or what... One day it so occur that the honey bees make it's comb on the helmet and come down upto the neck of the worker... He sit without moving here and there and after about 25-30 minutes the bees goes away and the worker came down safely...
Is there any honey bee repellent available in market so that we can give them to workers to apply it over their jackets or even directly on body to avoid the honey bee attack...
If anyone knows the availability of such product or any other solution to resolve my issues please come forward and help... Presently we advised to remove the jacket to all workers, but not fulfilling the purpose, bees still coming...
This is the biggest hazard we are experiencing in our project presently...

Dear Dipil,
We are also building high structure.
Although this problem is not occured at our site, the bee heaves do rest of horizontal surface of any high building.
I do not know if reflective jacket is attracting the bees.
However you may try to apply thin layer of high temp grease on helmet.
You can also try pest control at that height.
With the paste control the bees shall not come for 2 months.
If you want I can provide the number of pest control party you can discuss with him the chemicals sprayed.
In our case the beeheaves (bee comb) used to get developed on structure, because of which the roofing work was delayed for at lease 15 days.
Finally after we removed the bee-heave we applied a thin layer of high temperature grease which acted as a repellent.
Pl try and give feedback.
NB: Honey bees will not attach humans unless they are teased.
Thanks & Regards,
Sudhir
