Hello friends, if an employee drawing 15000 gross salary then is he covered by esic or not? Thanks
From India, Pune
Dear Ganesh
He is covered provided his salary includes all those emoluments paid to him every month and excludes any payments made to him at the intervals of more than two months.

Dear no doubt ,if gross salary is upto 15k per month than indivdual has to be covered under ESIC
From India, Delhi
Hello Malikji,
What you put up is actually the right concept. It is Any employee whose Gross salary is above Rs. 15000/- is eligible for ESI deductions from his salary and company contribution as well. From employee's salary 1.75% of Gross salary is deducted and company pays(Shows) 4.75% of Gross salary.

it is if some one draws gross salary equal or less than 15000, then person should be covered under ESIC (not in case of above 15000).
Gross salary has to cover all the regular deductions made from employee contribution...
hope it is clear..

Yes, he will be covered under ESIC. The Employee who employed for wages up to Rs.15000/- excluding OT will be covered.

Yes yes. it is less than or equal to 15000/-. My mistake i wrote above instead of less than.
