Hi Friends,
Can anyone give some clarification on TDS, my current employer deducted some amount as TDS from my income, is there any percentage for TDS deduction, if so from gross/ net/ basic. For eg, if i get a monthly income of 35k from that 9k is basic, 6k is hra, others as service allowance. Then what will be the TDS deduction, on what basis they deducting. Whether it will be consider during the IT returns, if excess amount then what should i do, also i need some idea for tax exemption.

If TDS is deducted on Salary then just income tax slab for that assessment year will be applicable. You have not told about for what assessment year the employer deducted TDS? please mention it.
