I need some help with regard to a Technical or Aptitude Test used in organizations , which can be used for hiring purposes for candidates having less than 3 years of experience.
Incase if I create some In-house test for this purpose , what would be the reliablity and validity of using such a tool. Moreover, do organizations create such technical or aptitude tests or procure some standardized instrument ( becuz most of the organizations in software or BPO have some kind of Aptitude/Technical test)
A sample test would be of quite utility, coz i undertsand the parameters on which it is to be based upon , but do not fully understand how to create it.
Looking forward for some real help. Am quite in desperation.

You can generate your own questions for this purpose..rather than depending on some website information...becuz the students are aware of such sites, and they pretty well know the answers for them tooo...
so i would suggest that u prepare your set of questions....to validate that paper, you can actually set a time and distribute to some of your employees, to determine the nature of the question paper....choose a variety of 5 people - a high perfirmer, avg performer, a new comer, an old employee, a high level person, a middle mgmt person...etc...
Along with the question paper, ask them to give a note about the q'paper...about their suggestions to improve on this....
i think this must work out....
