You have said that you are pregnant and as you have esic card from previous company and you have left that company on march 21st and now you have joined another company 0n 1st july and your due date is of 28 nov so you want to know whether you are eligible for matenity benefits from esic or not.
In this regard you are informed that for entitled of maternity benefit from the ESIC, any of the female employee have to complete 70 days in the employment of the management and she has to contribute the ESI contribution to the ESIC for 70 days in a year. If you are have joined the management on 1st July, 2011 then, you are elegible for the benefit under the provisions of Maternity Benefits Act.
