Hi Padam...
I appreciate your self confession. You can win this gap by doing simple things...
1. If you have the habit of carrying a piece of paper in your purse, start writing the book names and authors and keep it with you always, or at least till the time you become confident.
2. Update the book name and author name in the status field or profile status on your networking sites ... orkut, facebook, cite HR ..... you can also add this to your signatures in your emails
3. Save as a sms draft in your mobile
So, when someone asks about it... simply admit with a smile and refer these sources in front of them. They appreciate your way of organizing.

Dear Padam
How you are recognising your friends by name even his parents name and children names.
Like that if you have interest on the subject obviously you can remember the names of the author too. Here also you are seeing the id as Pon1965 immediately you recollect Mr. Ponraj, You are seeing the id as Adayaranumon immediately you recollect the name of Mr. Lakshminarayanan and others. By hearing the name of the book you must recollect the name of authors. It happens only when you start recognising the other books of the same authors.
Once you can recognise your friends name along with their title, you can easily remember the names of the authors too.

How to remember better
first find out some clue (which may anything that u know, like friends name or your favourite)
for example :

Making Clue : Bahu Akbar Jahanshah

Hi Padam,
It may sound a little funny, but works for me....
As I read the book, I actually start developing a conversation with the author him/herself like - "Well said, Mr. XYZ !" or "I like that, Ms. ABC" Or sometimes, "While I agree with you Mr. PQR, however, I would like to put it this way.." Or "I don't like your theory, Ms. ABC..." etc. etc.
This way, I not only remember the points and logics I read in a book, but also recall the author without hassle while discussing the book and its contents, because I've had a hypothetical discussion with the author him/her self while reading.
Sounds funny ?? Try it - you won't believe at the results !
