Hi,
I work in a small company comprising of 20 people. My salary is 1.8 LPA. Despite working in this company for 2 years, my salary has not increased. I spoke to the company owner that when I change my job, they should give a fake payslip stating that my salary is 3.5 LPA. He agreed to it. My questions are:
- Can this be done?
- Can I trust my boss to give me a fake payslip?
- Will I be facing any kind of difficulty for this in the future?
Please suggest!

Dear Ariesajay,
If your information is on a monthly basis, then you can follow the steps below for calculating the income tax:
Total basic = 32,500*12 = 3,90,000
Add: HRA 4000*12 = 48,000
Less: HRA Exemption 40% or 50% of Basic salary. In your situation, your HRA value is fully exempted.
Conveyance allowances are exempted from income tax.
Miscellaneous allowances will be added to your gross salary if they are not specified or given for a specific purpose.
Interim Bonus 3250*12 = 39,000; it is part of the gross salary.
PF 3900/- will be added to your gross salary. If your company is registered under the PF Act, then Rs. 780 p.m. is a significant amount.
Professional tax 200/- will be included in the gross salary and deducted after the calculation of the income tax value.
All other facilities are also part of the gross salary and will be added after deducting their respective exemptions as per the Income Tax Act, 1961.
I hope this information will help you. If you face any problems regarding understanding, please provide detailed information about your payslip and other perks, and I will suggest better solutions.

Surprised to see how the hell your boss has agreed to this unethical thing. It is definitely not a good company where the boss is of this type. My suggestion is not to believe your boss, not to do any unethical act, keep looking for good opportunities, and leave the company. Best of luck.

Hi there!!!!
I suggest not to do this. This will only spoil your career. You may need another fake salary slip when you change your next job, which ultimately will make you a fake professional. You will not be able to get into some authentic HR systems where the Form-16 or IT return documents are asked to prove your salary.
I suggest staying away from it and choosing ethical ways.

Hi,
My advice is: don't think of such illegal and unethical means, which will spoil your professional career. You are a young HR professional, and you have a long way to go. It will be prudent on your part to find a suitable job elsewhere as early as possible. Always think positively, and you will achieve success soon.
