Hi Gaurav,
Can u please explain me in details exactly what your required?
If you are talking about domestic travel policy it cover the mim, usage of employee as per their designation & grade, which already in that file, you can rework on the same to increase with some amount, but not much.
If you are asking for local conveyance policy, Normally there is policy for local conveyance, normally it is calculated on at actual basis and mode of transport in your local area. Employee can claim the same as per vouchers. But for sales staff who are daily out on field, you can fix amount for their local conveyance, which is called DA.
for more query you can email me on

Hi Gaurav:
I too wanted a comparision on the domestic travel policy w.r.t other companies to check out where we stand w.r.t the re-imbursable components. It is good that you have raised this topic.
In our company, these are the following that we re-imburse:
1) Home to Airport (Auto / Taxi) -- As per actuals
2) Airfare (strictly on low-cost airlines and lowest fares) (the employees are encouraged to use their personal credit cards for air bookings, which shall be re-imbursable later) (for some employees, corporate card is provided)
3) Auto / Taxi from the destination location to their respective accomodation at that city -- as per actual.
4) We provide a per diem of Rs 500 (for metro cities) and Rs 400 (for non-metro cities) towards food, laundry and other incidental expenses of the employee during that particular period.
5) Accomodations are provided at company negotiated hotels / guest houses (the maximum allowable per day rent limited to 3000 Rs)
6) The local auto / taxi rent from the accomodation to the client location -- as per actual.
Please let me know if this is good as per the industry standards? Should we set a limit to the local auto / taxi rents, which we are right now re-imbursing at actuals?

Dear Rashmi
Seems preety comparable except for the Boarding of 3,000/- > How do you manage in metros where the room rents are really high.
Also it is difficult to limit the loacl travel part as it is totally dependend on the nature of their job.
