The Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act does not specify any ratio of contract labour to regular workmen in an establishment. The only restriction is that you cannot engage any contract labour in work of a regular nature for which a full-time regular workman could be engaged. Please follow the link given below for more details. Madhu.T.K: Contract Labour Thanks for sharing the write-up on EPF. However, it is regrettable to say that the EPF Organization did not make changes in the documents supplied to the general public whenever amendments took place. The capital return and pension commutations are not available at present. Similarly, the compensation in case of death under the Employees' Deposit Linked Insurance (EDLI) is Rs 1 lakh and not Rs 60,000. Regards, Madhu.T.K
