Dear Rawal,
When we are conducting a job satisfaction survey, it should be related to both the nature and position of the job. The job satisfaction questionnaire should cover everything that is related to performing the specific job, such as tasks, duties, roles, responsibilities, organizational culture, your immediate supervisor, compensation and benefits, employee engagement towards the organization, and employee value proposition, among others. It would be beneficial to create a topic under the name "Nature & Positioning of Job."

Thank you, Amit ji. You solved my problem which I was unable to do myself. I understand now that I have to merge both the side headings and provide questions. I do have one more doubt: when we provide questions for grievance handling, can those questions be like the following -
1. How are grievances handled in ________ company?
2. Are you satisfied with the grievance handling methods of your company?
Please guide me on this topic as well.

Dear Rawal,
A grievance arises when an employee feels that something has happened or is going to happen which is unfair, unjust, or inequitable. It may relate to either one employee or a group of employees. Therefore, the grievance questionnaire should be related to:
- The employees' feelings and opinions about the company policies and practices, i.e. the questionnaire should be related to the interpretation and implementation of agreements, labor legislation, various personnel policies, rules and regulations, past practices, and the code of conduct.
- The behavior of the immediate supervisor in response to complaints.
- The behavior of the department head in response to complaints.
- The behavior of the grievance committee in response to complaints.
- The behavior of the Management.
- The role of the Union.
- Whether wages are paid or not, and if concerned employees may go for an inquiry during working hours.
- Whether the time taken to resolve the grievance is satisfactory or not.
- Communication, i.e. decisions taken to redress the grievance of the worker must be communicated to him.
- The level of freedom of expression for the worker in front of Management.
- The efficiency of follow-up actions by the supervisor, department head, grievance committee, Management, Union, and especially by the personnel or HR department.
You can set up a questionnaire based on the above-explained points.
