There is a difference between beauty and personality. Beauty is exterior and personality is the inner glow. When I select candidates, I look at the personality and not beauty. hope I am answering your question.

i m pursing hr 4m pune university. what i can share is beauty is important as far as the person taking interview gives prefernce on that scale but the ever lasting impact on the interviewer can be made by smartness and only smartness and smartness. widout beauty smatness may have few lions on the way but they can be killed but beauty widout smartness is a complete no-no it may land a person wid job but cant take itm for long.
as astudent i just shared my perspective.
thanks

Hi,
According to me beauty would have some sort of impact on the interviewer/interviewee as it is a general tendency of human being to get attracted to a beautiful person. But beauty itself is a relative term. Beauty without knowledge/smartness/personality would not survive in long run.

Beauty works for short term, it is the personality which works in longterm. Isn’t it. But it the work which plays important role.

you know one should have a pleasing personality no doubt bcoz without that your communication wont have that kind of effect that it should have , good personality dosen't always include good looks ,,, if u have them it's a added advantage ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,u knw no matter what marketing and finance guys say HR IS THE MOST GLAMOROUS AND POWERFUL FUNCTION IN ANY ORGANIZATION.

It all depends how you define beauty as?

For me Beauty is a reflection of you as an individual and is comprises of your internal & external reflection both.

Yes your internal beauty is really important as it makes you a real individual, your behavior, your attitude, your thought process, all part of it.

Yes your external beauty is also important as it gives the first impression -even before speaking to you. You need not be fair, or good looking but the most important thing is how you carry yourself, your dressing sence (should be as per occasion), your facial expressions, your body language. In a crux -"How you present yourself"

Now comes being SMART -Yes it is also be very important factor -not just for HR professionals but for anyone to be successful in the world.

When I say SMART, for me being smart means understanding the situation correctly, respond intelligently, and think promptly. Taking right action at right situation is being SMART.

Now you can decide better as what is important. In my view -everything is important

take care

Hey,
HR persons should have good personality, but it dosn' mean he/she must be beautiful. smartness can be judged , while candidate is answering the question and personality, guestur and posture also make some difference.
HR person should be very diplomatic and smart.

Hi,
HR should be beautiful,reason-If HR is beautiful only then people will accept them i.e they will come to you, share problems etc they are facing in organization & only after this one can use his/her mind, Knowledge, communication tacts(Collectively Personality) to solve matters. So an HR Personal should be beautiful.

HR should be smart, well balanced at mind, be aproachable, soft but firm.
Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.
Ofcourse, no company pays you for your beauty. They pay you for skills - communication, presentation, etc.
thanks
