Hi Xela,
Saswat is absolutely right. I would like to highlight one more point. Packages are also depend on How you represent yourself. Interview is the best opportunity for you to create your importance. Everybody have knowledge but very few interviewee convince employer that their knowledge is an value addition for an organization. So prepare yourself for interviews in that way.Once you get successful in this step employer get ready to negotiate with you for package.

your current CTC is on the lower side, I opine. Better look for good opportunities. As said above, CTC depends on your ability and organisation. Regards R.Ponraj

Hello Seniors,
Thanks for you valuable feedbacks.
I've also another doubt...?
I went for another interview and the HR said that she is goin to consider me as a trainee, and offered me the same package [1.05L PA], also she added that you can think abt it and can get back to me in 2 Days,
Now what am i suppose to do ?
Should i start the negotiation or dont know wat to do ?
Help me out ?
Thanks & Regards,

Dear Xela,
I am not an HR but still I would like to suggest you :
Do not quit jobs so often for the sake of big monies, experiance and stabalities also matters.
HAve you heard about the job hoppers,
Work with full dedication, contribute in organisation development in co ordination with your boss, anywork comes in your way take it as experience and continue atleat more than one year.
The current pay which new employer is offerring you will wash the arlier experience also, then why change if ther is no increase. But do look for more responsible job profile rather than money.
Slowly and gradually you will win the race

hi ...
in the beginning hr people gets this much package only..don't worry..as you are the fresher so this is the place where you start learning..during your mba you might not had such exposure..so learn as much as you can and be stable for a year..and take this as a training.. all the best..

Hi,
I would actually like to know the actual worth for the MBA-HR profile than it is never less than 3.0 Lacs as per the Industry Standards for a Post Graduate Students and related to the Job Profile BUT there is also one very big fact that only few are able to reach at that point while rest of us remains in a slab of 1-2.4L.
This is just because We are in the need of Job and We Have To join it unwillingly even at such a low salary.
The Salary Offered in the Market is always based on two scale:
a)Demand
b)Supply
Since when the supply increases, the salary itself gets down. This is the fact why your salary is low...
Enjoy You Will Understand the same and will try to look for good opportunity

Hello Xela,
I agree with Yaasmin.
Suggest take her advice.
And being a HR person yourself, I don't think you need to be reminded that if one takes career-decisions based on ONLY CTCs, that would be the worst career step anyone can take in the long-term. I have myself rejected quite a few senior persons just for this reason--if the person can do it to another Company, he/she can repeat it here too.......
Unless the CTC is way-off-the-mark [meaning the Employer is taking advantage of the situation of the fresher], it's always advisable to stick to gaining experience until at least 2-3 yrs for any fresher--not just in HR, but in any field.
Whichever field it is, no Employer with their heads clear will pay less to a worthy professional. So once you gain the exp, the money will follow automatically.

I appreciate the view points of yaasmin. However Kindly consider following points also
1. Are you happy and enjoying your job at present?
2. Are you working for an recruitment consulting firm or other companies
3. You can become an employer later if it is a recruitment firm. But if your goal is different it doesn't matter.
4. Is the new offer can enhance your learning opportunity ?
5. Probable growth opportunity? use your gut feeling. We can't really predict.
6. Salary should not be a prime criteria at any point of our career. Salary should be the by product of our contribution. (Of course it matters).
Good luck.
