You had given only the gross salary, you had not furnished the Basic+DA details if his Basic+DA is less than 10,000/- then he is eligible for bonus, if his Basic+DA is more than 10,000/- then he is not eligible to get the bonus and you have to pay bonus on only Basic+DA not on gross salary. The minimum bonus is 8.33% on Basic+DA and maximum is 20% on Basic+DA.
E.g. if one employee Basic+DA is 7500/- then we have to calculate bonus on only 3500/- if his Basic+DA is less than 3500/- that time we have to take actual Basic+DA only.
