My organization, which is a PSU, is in the process of certification for ISO 9001:2008. I would like to know what the standard documentation for HR in the area of Training and Development would be. Could I please get some formats that need to be designed for the training process?

As per ISO 9001:2008, the minimum documentation required (which may vary from one organization to another) includes:

0. Standard Competency Matrix
1. Training needs identification (to meet the standard competency matrix)
2. Training Calendar (plan & do)
3. Training feedback (check)
4. Training evaluation (check)
5. Training effectiveness (check)
6. Retraining (act)

Please provide me with your email address; I'll email you the standard formats. Buddy, QMS only says to develop a documented system with PDCA and also keep assessing the performance of the system you have designed or adapted, such as by evaluating KPIs.

Just keep it simple, don't add documents that are not part of your system or HR process. If you guys don't have a training calendar, simply make a training plan on a monthly basis. What you really need are documents related to showing your training records, evaluation & effectiveness of the trainings, TNI or TNA, and feedback.

Additionally, you should have position profiles or written job descriptions of all the positions defining the competence levels required for the position.

Talk to the company that is setting up your ISO accreditation and will conduct your audits. They are the only ones who can provide you with the necessary documentation and inform you about the requirements needed to complete the audit for your certification.
