I WANT TO KNOW THAT DURING APPRAISALS,WE SEE THE SCORE OR THE PERCENTAGE.SUPOSE AN EMPLOYEE GETS 3.24 OUT OF 5 AS A SCORE AND ANOTHER GETS 3.9 OUT OF 5,ON A 5 POINT RATING SCALE.THEN IS 3.24 SCORE AS BEING A FRESHER IS A GOOD SCORE FOR APPRAISAL OR NOT.PLZ REPLY

It depends on where “good” appears on your 5 point scale. Different organizations anchor their scales differently. If “good” is at 4, then no. If “good” is at 3, then yes.

hi, the score on a five point rating scale is 3 is good and 4 is very good.so it comes between good and very good.can anyone say howz the score now.

5 point scales are interpreted differently. for some, 4-5 is excellent, while 3 - 3.9 is good and 2 - 2.9 is mediocre and so on.
In some places 3.5 - 4.5 is good and any thing above this is excellent and anything below is mediocre.
SO please frame this range at ur place and then compare the scores. Otherwise, if we calculate using rough approximations, 3.2 for a fresher is definitely a good indicator of performance. It is 60%.
