Land Acquisition Procedure for Businessmen & Builders

Can anyone please provide details about the land acquisition procedure from the Government of India for commercial use? What are the different types of NOCs involved in this procedure? I heard some time ago that in Gujarat, the District Collector can issue one common NOC for the commercial use of agricultural land. Any updates about this would also be helpful for me.

Dear Manoj,

Please note that every state government is obligated to keep its policies posted on its various ministries, statutory bodies, and corporation bodies. As such, please search the link enclosed below. Also, all acts and amendments are just a click away on Google, various law clubs, and the National Information Centre network of various ministries.

Nonetheless, please find enclosed some information.

Cheers,
Arun

Thanks, Arun, for sharing. However, detailed information for this is very discreet in nature. I came across a very nice post about the ugly side of acquisition; it's really a very complicated procedure...
