I am working in a Industry based at Ahmedabad...I wanted to know that as per the factories act what could be the minimum qualification of a doctor in a industry and what is the minimum employee strength on which the appointment of Doctor is must. Please help.

Hi Gunjan,
Myself Amit Seth working with an IT company at Ahmedabd.
As per Factories Act, the minimum qualification for a doctor is he/she must be an MBBS. Whereas the minimum strength of employee required should be 500.
But if required you can arrange for an on call Doctor or A doctor who will visit the factory once or twice in a week for regular checkup of the employees.

Thanks for reply...I only have one confusion because i heared that as per the industry requirement medical council provides list of the relative courses ...I am confident that in that list MBBS and BAMS is mentioned but I am not aware on other batcholor medical cources. If you have the list of those cources then pls provide me.
