I have also same problem. if we call some workers for two ar three days for loding and unloding work in factory. in this case can we face any problem by labour dept.for Mathadi act ? Abhijit

I am an employee of CWC, i.e., Central Warehousing Corporation.

Here is some issue regarding Mathadi workers. Like they come and demand their wages without any work and without any contract with CWC. So, Mathadi workers force for that. Please tell me if CWC is liable for that or not.

Can anyone guide me on whether the Mathadi Act is applicable to small-scale industries? Is it compulsory to enroll with the Mathadi union even if I do not need Mathadi laborers? I pay well to my labor and have also insured them, providing accommodation free of cost.

I am a self-employed proprietor in the elevator industry. I erect new elevators for small builders. Mathadi Hamals demand money for unloading my material even though I have my own contract laborers. Am I liable to pay them even if they do not unload my goods? Their demand is to the tune of Rs. 15,000/-. Please guide me in this regard.
