Any organization, as per labor law, should issue an employment contract or appointment letter stating the terms of employment to the employee. However, some organizations only provide an offer letter and do not issue an appointment letter. If an individual is not issued an appointment letter, they can obtain a relieving letter from the company. This letter would include the joining date, end date, last drawn salary, and designation.

Hi Everyone, I am also facing the same issue. My company does not issue the appointment letter to those candidates whose wages are below 4150/-. In this case, either the candidate leaves the company or is frustrated by the management as they do not provide them with the appointment letter. So please suggest a solution for this.

Yes, I also agree with this. In fact, I am currently experiencing it. What happened is that I cleared the interview rounds for the position of Sr. Sales Executive with a very reputed publishing house. However, since the competition in the publishing industry is so high, employers feared that news of my joining a competitor company would spread like wildfire. My previous company might try to negotiate upon seeing the offer in black and white, and hence lose the candidate. Therefore, they skipped the offer letter and informed me of the calculations verbally. Even now, after I have been with their organization for the last 15 days, they are still trying to delay the appointment letter by giving one reason or another.
Hence, I request all my friends to not fall prey to these kinds of tactics and try to move forward according to the normal practices that we have been following for ages.
