Hi all,I have joined a BPO as a summer intern. My project is to find out ways to "Drive Fun at Work". Can anybody suggest what broad heads should I include- what motivational theories can I link it to and what are some feasible low-cost and implementable fun exercises? ALso, anything else that can be included in the perview of this project. I am also planning to do a survey among the associates to find out what kind of fun activities they want. What kind of questions should I ask them? Please revert back soon with ideas.Regards,Swadha.

Hi,
Thanks for ur replies..but I've already looked through the site and without a coherent structure, I'm only finding vague articles, which are of little help.
Can anyone suggest a structure as to how should I go about my project?

Hi,
You can ask the associates as to how they find the working environment, and what are their suggestions to make it better place.
Also for fun at workplace you can check out what activities were planned before for employees . Did they have team outing , do they have any in house magazine wherein they can contribute articles, can there be some light music in office etc. These are some suggestions . But you need to find out if it can work in the organisation.

Dear Swadha
For fun at work u can include following things:
1. There could be a lunch party at every month.
2. There could be a outing.
3. on the birthday of any employee there should be a little & sweet party arrange by all employees contribution & a little gift.
4. There could be feedback from all the employees what changes they want in the organisation & in their working style to make the environment light.
5. There could be many refreshment games. musical chair is a good example. spin bottle is also come in handy. passing the ball.

Hi,
You can make the employees to decorate their cubicles (Work place) as per their wish ( Sticking photographs , Place their favourite dolls, pics, hanging wall papers) etc.. This would make to work more enthusiastically.

Dear Shradha
As u r doing the exercise for BPOs where attrition is very high.
These all tricks which u are surveying is used make the working environment good to retain the employees.
I will suggest you should make a separate heading for cost effective way of recreation.
Cost effective Ways
-Planning a get together in the office courtyard before weekends.
-Playing quizzes and variois team building games where u make a team and make them achieve their goal with all of their efforts.
-Then one of our friend has already sggested for Musical chair.
I will say u shud choose games which are focussed for team building.
