Under The Payment of Gratuity Act an employee can maximum Rs. 3,50,000/- as gratuity. There can be agreement by which an employer may agree to pay more that what is provided under the Payment of Gratuity,Act.

Its 350,000/-. Should be withdrawn only once in life time. Else it will be tax able.
In your career...you can not withdarw Gratuity from multiple employers.
For example your worked with three companies for long enough period to get Grauity...so you cannnot get 350,000/- from each employer.

Another important point is that if the employer decides to give more than Rs. 3.5 lacs in Gratuity as Mr. Patel has suggested than the amount above Rs.3.5 lacs will become taxable. KKT

Am employee can receive 3.5 lakh from each employer if with each of them he has worked for 5 years or more and his basic salary can give him 3.5 Lakh.
