Dear All,

My manager has asked me to prepare an Excel sheet for all the employees to track the status of leaves taken, leave balances, reasons for leave, dates of leave, etc. Can anybody help me prepare the sheet? Our organization consists of 20 employees.

Hi Subha,

Before I can forward you the sheet for preparing leave records for 20 persons, please tell me the following details:
1) How many days are working?
2) Are Sat and Sun holidays?
3) Are any other types of leaves allowed to employees like EL / HPL? If yes, then how many?

If you already have software for handling the leave, please forward it to me.

Hi Sinha,

We have a total of 20 employees engaged in software development. Saturday and Sunday are the holidays. Ours is a budding company; currently, we have 12 annual casual leaves and 30 sick leaves.

Hi All,

Thank you for all your support. Can anyone also talk about the leaves lapsed?

In my organization, we have a leave system wherein everybody is entitled to 30 working days of leave. Out of 30, 10 leaves are compulsory to be taken (i.e. they get lapsed if unavailed), and the remaining 20 days are carried forward to the next year.

Please suggest.
