Is it legal to hold employee's salary because of his non submission of expense reports? The employee is a first line sales manager who works in field and gets the job related expenses on submission of expense report every month. He gets his salary and expense reiumbursements separately. He has not submitted the expense report from last two months but has submitted his daily work reports for all the working days on time.

frnd all these case will be solved if the company has good hr policies. dnt knw whether u have issued him appointment / offer letter..explained the legal barriors for employment. then u can proceed by giving him time to submit the required information. not having proper system holding salary will become a employment dispute. if you dnt have ...call him and ask him to do the required information . all take in writing.
