Hi,
Please try this method.
1. Have the structure of the excell file similar to dbf file structure.
2. Save the excel file as text file.
3. use the blank dbf file having the required structure.
4. Else create one with the above structure.
5. Append the text file(indicate excate name with path).
Saving the excel file as dbf may not work in a dbase software sometime. Hence try the above method.

The most easiest way to convert excel file sot dbf is:
1.) dont worry about content format of xcel file unless you need to it to be structured in a specific format.
2.) don't have excel file ope when you do the next few steps.
3.) Open Microsoft Access
4.) Create a new or blank databse within and name the file
5.) Once you have done this, go to >File >get external Data >Import on top task bar.
6.) A new import screen will open up and all you do is change the file import format at the bottom of the dialogue box and then select the file you want ot import and click ok
7.) After that is done you just follow the on screen prompts.
8.) finally yo get the .mdb acces file to .dbf you >FILE >EXPORT > choose file format from the drop down dailogue box, and choose DBF
