An employee has contributed additional amount to PF.
However the Employer is contributing only 12%.
Can you tel me what are the procedures to update this increase in employee contribution? Do we have to submit any additional forms in this regard either at the time of Remittance or filing returns?

Employee can contribute more than 12% voluntarily but the employer can restrict his contribution to 12%. An employee willing to contribute more than statutory rate of contribution should give it in writing to the HR department. When returns is prepared they will update it and the employee's statement of account will reflect such additional contributions made by him.
