Well, I want to know that HR people don't have good opportunities than Marketing. I am an MBA (HR) student. In my college, almost all the Marketing students got placed, but only one or two HR students have secured a job. Please help me understand if this is true.

Well, I want to know that HR people don't have good opportunities compared to Marketing. I am an MBA (HR) student. In my college, almost all the Marketing students got placed, but only one or two HR students have found a job. Please help me understand if this is the case.

You may be right, but if you have chosen the HR profession, I think you made the right choice. Looking back to the 1980s, there was no concept of HR, but now every good company prefers to develop the HR department because they understand that without a strong HR department, a firm cannot achieve its goals. I am also pursuing an MBA in HR with a major in Finance. I am the only one in the class who chose HR, and I am confident that I will find a place in the market.

Don't worry, just continue on your mission. God bless.

Hi Chandu,

Don't worry, yaar. Even I opted for HR where we don't have placements, but our management has promised to bring us this year. Of course, marketing jobs are more common, but there are opportunities in the market for HR as well. There is a growing demand for HR in the years ahead. Don't worry; experts say that there is a misconception about HR. Citehr is the best example for all of us.

Keep your fingers crossed!!!! :) HR is growing in the industry and according to my knowledge HR is fairly new to this and Marketing is not!! So there’ll be ample opportunities when people start recognizing the importance of HRM in an organization!!

Hello, my choices are marketing and HR. Which one should I go for? I am creative, love mixing with people, and have lived in several places in India, so I know people from various backgrounds. However, I hesitate to travel for at least a year after my MBA, especially to Delhi and adjoining regions, due to family concerns. I have a BTech degree and no work experience.
