Am a student.. and I am doing a Human Resource Project.. right now! :( I have got some doubts.. and don really have the directions on the questions given to me.
Here it goes:
Research and report on the HR initiatives that organizations in China and India are challenged with. Relate the following HR topics; recruitment & selection, training, performance appraisal, career development, job evaluation, compensation and reward systems.
From what I understand, I need to find out the HR topics ya!! However, my course is a CRASH COURSE and my lectures are only on the way to deliver the information to us... but, my project deadline is drawing near hence.. wanna ask if anyone could like give me some opinions about the question that I mentioned above??? Thanks!!

well..not as easy as u make it sound, pal.
start of with listing out the HR practices in china n india. analyse each one from both fronts (china n india), how they r initiated, followed, implemented and what probs arise.
then..relate the topics mentioned by u..recruitment et al. from a china viewpoint with india viewpoint..compare them with each other...recruitment done in chinese orgs and recruitement in indian orgs. in the same way, the rest of the stuff.
a lengthy project for a crash course though!

If you search, like I did, you will find some articles ot their abstracts. For full articles, you may have to pay. However, if you had the luxury of pleanty time to complete, you could write to the authors. They usually oblige.
Here are two references for Chinese practices. You will have to narrow the field to some industrial sector, as pointed out by other respondents.
