hi
Every year in our organization, we buy each other x-mas presents as work colleagues. One is made to toss the name of the person (secret pal) they will be buying a present for, and we are not suppose to reveal that name until the last day. So this time around i happen to have picked my big boss, and i have no idea what to buy him as present. He is very difficult man because he complains almost every year about what people buy him, so i'm finding it hard to find just the perfect gift that will make him happy.
He is a production manager in a mine, geologist by profession, thats the nature of his job. He is into sports (football), reserved and very stingy. May you please help me in identifying the perfect gift for him.
Thank you

NEL,
What an interesting situation ;)
I suggest you buy him a book on 'The Meaning of Gifts' or 'Count Your Blessings'. At least he wont be caught complaining again...
Good luck to you !

Nel,
I understand that its really very tough to decide on the gift but there are two ways in deciding what to gift. First one - Something useful to him, Second one - Find out his interests and gift accordingly.
Let me tell you something funny. Our company CEO was very fond of A.P foods like gongura, Pesarattu, Raagi chappati etc., Also from our HR Manager came to know that he is fond of pens and everyday he brings a different pen. Usually we conduct cake cutting session for any employee birthday including CEO, COO, VP etc.. But on the day of our CEO birthday we gave him a surprise by providing A.P food for lunch as well as a we gifted him a beautiful pen. For the first time i saw all his 32 teeth while laughing. He was really very happy.

Hi Nel,
Is your Boss married?
Better is to purchase such a gift(which if required may be used by her)e.g-mobile set with 2 seams facility.
If objection comes from Boss, we can possibly handle it saying"we thought your wife will be delighted to have this using one seam exclusively for You & otherone for rest".
