In addition to Swetasawant's version, a factory license has to be applied for on or before October of every year, provided that the license is valid for a year. If applied for in November, a 10% penalty charge on the license fee will be imposed, increasing to 20% for December, and 30% for subsequent months. A five-year license can also be applied for.

Dear Abhijeet,
I have just been transferred to a new plant location by our company. I wanted to inquire about the current status of our plant. We have a Registration & License to operate a factory for 450 persons, as approved by the F&B Chief Inspector. However, upon reviewing the overall workforce at our plant, including both employees on the rolls and contract labor, I found that there are 623 persons.
In light of this, I am seeking guidance on how to update this license to accommodate 650 (Proposed). Should I approach the Chief Inspector of Factories & Boilers in Jaipur or the district F&B office for this purpose?
Your prompt response would be greatly appreciated.
