Hi Everybody,

I've been released from a company on 10th August '09 and now I am jobless. When I asked the HR of the company, they said after two months I can request a withdrawal of my PF. Note: I don't wish to continue my PF account with my new organization either. I want to withdraw my PF money. I wanted to know what is the exact procedure to withdraw my PF money? How long should I wait to request a withdrawal? After how many days/months will I get my PF amount? Can I view the account balance in my PF account?

Many Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I understand your problem, but your HR dept is saying the correct things. If any employee leaves the organization, a minimum of 2 months later, he can apply for the PF withdrawal. Because, when any person leaves the organization, HR has to make his Full & Final settlement. Once it is complete, his PF dues have to be paid to PF authorities as soon as possible (if applicable). So, generally, PF dues of departed employees will be paid in the next month along with other existing employees' PF dues. After that, the PF department has to update their records. That's the reason your HR is saying that after 2 months, you can apply for the PF withdrawal. Once you submit your PF withdrawal form to PF authority, it takes a minimum of 60 to 90 days to settle your PF dues, but in some cases, it may take much longer. I hope you are satisfied with this information.

Nagac, usually when you complete your exit formalities, you would have been provided with your PF withdrawal form. In this form, you would have been requested to enter details like bank account numbers, etc. As per labor laws, the form goes to the government after 2 months of your resignation. It can be calculated that it takes an additional 2 months for processing. Therefore, in your case, the total processing time will be 4 months. You should expect to receive your PF by the end of November or the first week of December. Additionally, make sure to keep track with HR at all times through emails, sending subsequent reminders.

Hi everybody, please tell me, is Form 5 also needed for EPF withdrawal? My employer sent Form 19 and 10C with a canceled check. I myself had filled Form 19 and 10C properly, and I also received the acknowledgment of these forms received by EPF. However, I then received an SMS saying the claim was rejected. I went to the EPF office, and they are saying they need Form 5 for DOJ, DOB, and DOL, so they have rejected it.

My EPF office is in Bangalore, Raja Ram Mohan Roy Road.

Hi,

I left my company in 2010 due to a conflict with my boss. When I approached the company's HR for my PF, they demanded compensation. Despite serving the notice period, they insisted on payment. I took an alternative route and had Form 19 verified by the Bank Manager. I submitted Form 10 C along with Form 19, but it was rejected with the comment, "Date of Joining the Establishment is incorrect." I had entered my date of joining the company as I was unaware of when my PF account was opened.

How can I resolve this issue?
