Hie Chandra,
I agree wot Mr Sukumar said. The simplest of thing that you can start is start reading newspaper. Check difficult words in dictionary.
meanwhile everyday learn 3 new words from dictionary n then keep increasing the number.
You will definately see the difference.

Hi Chandra
You heard "everything is possible". Please dont loose your heart. Make a practise and start conversation with your friends and Colleague as well as your Seniors who find out your mistakes. Practise in front of mirror and reading newspaper, english Magazine, comics etc. where you find lots of dialogues.
First of you should build your self confidence, definitely u will improve yourself. Go head.

Hi Chandra,
I agree with what everyone has said. Along with their suggestions, also watch LOTS of english movies which have subtitles. At the beginners stage, instead of watching read the subtitles and listen to the dialouges, this will help you understand a person better who speaks english very fast and fluently. In the long run, it will laso help you get acquainted with the foreign accent...
Hope this helps...
Thanks :)

As suggested by people please read the newspaper daily. Also choose a good paper. Reading the Hindu helps. Also listening to BBC radio and reading sports articles, browsing and writing mails in English to friends frequently helps.
I developed my vocabulary by reading the newspaper every single morning. I used to do it religiously and assiduously. After a point you will start getting interest and you will start doing it with pleasure.
Also check attachment. Best of luck buddy. May God bless you!

hi Chandra,
I have some suggestions. Please try to talk to yourself in English. The self talk means thinking or giving directions to yourself. ( I have to get up early tomorrow; I have to wash the clothes; i have some important work to be completed; I must finish this assignment by this Sunday; The cleaning must be done this week etc; etc. ) It may sound silly, but this will give you confidence in due course.
The other suggestions like reading newspapers, etc. will develop your vocabulary.
As sugested by a friend, dialogues are important. Amar chitra khata or any other comics come handy. Learn to ask questions. this is where, we lag behind.
If you find any improvement, please share your experience thru this forum. All the best.

There are two Cambridge Uni press Language programmes....Language in Use and English 364/BUsiness English. The books n cds contain simple exercises to work on. My students get beneft of those. Try those .Those are in 4 difficulty levels. Do all . and you certainly ll be benefitted.

If you want to learn any a language, four dimensions attemp is required. Listening and Speaking are the first two dimension. Later you can add Reading and Writing. That's how children learn the language. To sharpen your skill you may add flavour of grammer and increase your vocabulary.
