hello,
i am a final year mba student and i had conducted the training on the stress management as my project and had given the training to the students in the class. wat we did was we made them play a lot of indoor games and related them one by one with the concepts of the stress management and asked them about how they r going to takle the situation.
so my suggestion would be that you go for the management games and then relate them to the topic it helps to involve all the employees
one example: we had asked the students to build the tower with the help of newspapers and magazines in three minutees in a group of five members, as a result the learning was that how to manage the team in so much of stress wen you hav to achieve ur targets

Dear Dr Tofy,
Stress results because of personal and organisational factors. When you take a training on stress please ask a question to yourself - will I give emphasis on causes of the stress or symptoms.
A training on stress should result into finding out organisational factors that cause stress and preparing remedial action plan for their eradication.
There are stress management techniques available but these are for curing the symptoms. Unless you take care of the cause, there is no point in curing just the symptoms.

Chinese Ball

Chinese medical theory states that our fingers are connected with our heart and other main organs. By using Chinese stress balls, acupuncture points on our hands are stimulated, which in turn improves blood circulation and relaxes muscles and joints. Chinese stress balls are thus one of the most popular stress management games.

For more information on Chinese stress balls read article Play To Your Amusement With Stress Management Balls!

According to traditional Chinese belief, there are acupuncture points in the palm of hand. While exercising with the help of imprinted stress ball, the acupuncture points are stimulated, promoting better health. Here is a list of things these balls can do for you:

1) relieve stress

2) improve memory

3) relieve joint stiffness and soreness

4) relax your muscles and joints

5) promote sleep

6) stimulate blood circulation

To remain without activity, when you are under stress adds to stress. You get restless. With balls, you have something in your hand and you can squeeze it. It will take care of your concerns and tensions. It is a sort of diversion from the brooding state of mind.

Stress management by the mere words accepts that the stress is fair acompli and would exist in work places so it must be managed. Whereas the causes of stress are not addressed at all. The better idea would be carry out the surrvey of the organisation and locate the stress causes and try and remove those. So basically stress management should be for managers only the person who create stress and the training has to be for managers learning to locate the causes of stress and resolving those issues. Its the Management which causes stress and they alone need training.
