Dear My seniors,
Please help me on the following issue.
Our company have leaves of Casual and Medical leaves.
Casual leave 10/year
Medical leave 12/year (1/month)
In this regard I want to know the calculation of total number of casual and medical leave availed for an employee who start from the month of March.
Is there any formula available to calculate leaves on pro rata basis.
Please guide me on this regard. Its urgent

You can use the following formula for calculating Casual & Medical leave:
Months x Entitlement/year
12
i.e. to say his Casual leave entitlement will be = 10 x 10 / 12 = 8 days
and his Medical leave entitlement will be = 10 x 12 / 12 = 10 days
(ignore the fraction if it is less than 5 and increase by a day if it is > 5 )
I hope the above clarifies your need.

Yes,
You should calculate numbers of leaves on total working days and get average accordingly,Always start the leaves from Jan to Dec,if you are calculating from March then no problem.

Entitlement of leave means the available leaves to employee. Year is on particular year. These all Judicial terms related with labour.
