Dear Friends,
“One of our employees always wears her sunglasses on top of her head at work.
It's definitely odd, but I don’t think it’s an offense.
The owner of the company, on the other hand, absolutely hates it.
He told me to tell her to take off the %&$! sunglasses.
Our dress code doesn’t say anything about such nonsense, so I’m at a loss on how to proceed. What should I do?”

Dear Rashid,
The employee you are referring I guess must be some Western National. Otherwise no eastern can dare to work like this in Middle East I suppose.
Presuming she is western national she must be informed that Its management oberservation that her etiquettes and boy language is against office decorum to figured out one among is her habbit "wears her sunglasses on top of her head at work".

She will automatically improve.

Escalate it to her Manager. If not, have a formal chat with her in the meeting room Observe how she will react and tread carefully.

Dear Abraham,
You are absolutely right in judging nationality of course she is western national as my Boss Director HR and my wife is also western national but she entrusted this responsibility to me to explain her. I feel rather my wife must jelous of her stylish body language and she being Director HR may feel her look as offensive.
I ask my boss being lady its easy to convey this message but she (Director-HR and my wife) told me its not proper being lady to comment on another lady's look or behavouor because that may emotionally breack down her specially western ladies are more concious of their civil rights and freedom and may feel offended and fumed.
Now, I have to bell the cat.

Hello Rashid,
I might sound silly - but this can solve the problem.
Strategy 1:
Please tell her that she would look great with the glasses off her head.
That is actually covering most part of her hair :-)
Wowww... so ur boss is ur wife, so now...no one can do this better other than your boss - You know - women to women - is more of a concern that can be "highlighted"
Well, on a serious note - you could also tell her that the culture sees it as "humiliating the person in front"
Again - just a thought - I know, its silly tho.... :(

Dear Ash,
Your reply has supported my cause and I shared this with my wife (Director-HR) and she finally agreed that she will talk to that lady employee as this was her objection to her odd behaviour and I being male it would not appropriate to comment as this may offend her dignity.
I appreciate your valuable support to persuing my Boss (my wife) as she convinced after reading your reply.
Warm Regards,
Rashid

I am happy :-) Lets cross fingers that this clicks! :-)
But even before mentioning this - I guess the boss must actually let her know that she - has always admired her sense of dressing and finds it stylish. Otherwise, the person will feel humiliated.... I am saying this, becos I am a girl, and I know what she will think :-)

Dear Rashid,
I always appreciate Ash's resplies she is simply brilliant because most of feminine behavioural issues only ladies are in best position how to deal with.
Therefore Ash is good asset for all of us who share views that are worth.
THanks to her...

I really agree with the Asha Mathew. Well, in this situation I would like to add one more point that “Be friendly with her and then discuss about the issue as Asha Mathew said, don’t try to overrule that she should not wear because it may create complex.”
Apart form that book of Dress Code Legal Issues”
