360 DEGREE
The purpose of 360-degree feedback is:
- to provide effective feedback
- to provide interactive feedback
- to provide feedback from all relevant sources
etc.
It is not related to any particular industry. Hence, it is useful to most industries.

Hi Vinay,
360 Degree Feedback and Appraisal can be used in any industry. The only precondition for using these instruments is that the organization needs to have the right kind of maturity level in order for it to benefit from 360 feedback. In essence, the purpose and objectives of 360 should be clearly specified by the management and understood by the respondents.
I have designed 360 Degree feedback formats for a few corporate giants as well as PSUs. The way these organizations have used the 360 feedback is unique to their business strategies. For 360 feedback to be really useful, it needs to be backed by counseling sessions to enable employees to understand what the feedback specifies, help them take it in the right spirit, and also assist them in drawing their self-development plan based on the feedback.

Hello Vinay,
360-degree appraisal can be applied in any industry. However, before implementing it in your organization, please ensure that your organization is mature enough for this change, especially at the senior management level.

hi! Vinay, can you help me in giving me more details regarding this 360 degree. it will be very helpful for me and for my organization also.
I am also engaged with an assignment which is one step ahead of the 360-degree system of appraising. However, my challenge here is that in the Indian context, up to now, 360 profiling has not been widely accepted due to the lack of organizational readiness and transparency. What are the relevant parameters to be taken into account in 360 appraising business? Since I can't reveal my project details as a whole due to my organizational policies, I need help regarding framing out the parameters and their suitable statistical tools to measure them without bias. Thank you.

Hi,
360-degree evaluation is a common tool in HRM. It is a mechanism for evaluating someone's performance based on the feedback from everyone with whom the individual comes in contact - bosses, coworkers, peers, subordinates, customers, etc.
This system helps employees identify their strengths so they can build on them, while also addressing their skill gaps. It is a process that leads to continuous learning, team building, growing self-confidence, and improved productivity.
Set the parameters applicable to your industry and work on it. You will find it very useful.
