The survey is aimed at ascertaining the gap between CURRENT ROLES of HR professionals and their expectations in their roles. Parallely, I am also conducting a survey non-HR professionals perception on HR roles.
This will serve as an input to all HR professionals as to whether we are moving in the appropriate direction. Whether HR professionals are viewed as strategic partner? Else, what are the course correction required to bring about value to the role of an HR professional.

Dear George,
Thanks for sharing good format. One thing I don't understand what u said that, this will serve as an input to know if we are moving in right direction. However I would like to point out that if I as an HR professional of a company ; asked to fill up then I would fill it in favour of self. In that case this will not serve any purpose. If one has to find out if HR professional is moving in right direction, then the survey has to be evaluated not by HR guy but by other dept person.

Hi Maheshbhai & Rameshbala,
Maheshbhai, thank you very much for your valuable response. I shall forward you the analysis of the findings once I complete the survey, if you so desire. My ID is
Rameshbala, you have said it correctly, ideally the target for survey should be non-HR professionals. I am carrying out the survey in two parts.
1st part relates to HR professionals perception on their current roles & their expectations in their roles. The questionnaire posted relates to that. It does matter whether what they are performing currently meets their expectations. In other words, what is the extent to which they have control over their roles.
2nd part, which is also being undertaken concurrently using another set of questionnaire, pertains to perception of non-HR personnel on HR Roles.
I believe, responses of these two surveys will enable me to ascertain the degree to which HR professionals are viewed as strategic partners in business.
I would appreciate your valuable response towards this cause Rameshbala
