Hi Tejaswini,
I believe that salary break up should be given when the person is being issued offer letter before joining and not during confirmation or after completing probation period. A well- formatted salary break up helps the candidate/new joinee to have better understanding of his gross, deductions and take home package.

your manager is worng in this respect.pls note what is the definition of porobationer.
A probationer is a woirkman who is employed to fill a vacancy in permanent post
and has not been confirmed as permanent by an order in writing.
it means we have to observe him for 6 months or whatever is probation period.
