Answering the second part of your question - an employee on probation is not entitled to any kind of leaves during probation. Any leave that is taken by the employee will be unpaid as per the law.
Just to let you know, the link that Geetha has mentioned here is the law for companies operating in free zones. The laws for free zones are slightly different from the rest of the country.

Further some companies have a practice where any employee is not eligible to take paid leave till he/she completes 6 months of service in the company.
