I would like to ask for your help on the following subject:

I have been asked by my manager to create the whole salary grade structure for my company, as we are setting up the HQ here in Dubai and no salary grade process has been created yet, as we do have the figures already. I find this subject very exciting, as I am into processes and systems, and I would like to get involved in this subject. Here is my request:

Where could I find all the information I need to understand how salary grades work and how to implement them? How to put them into action? How often do they have to be renewed? Who approves revisions, the whole process itself. I'm more interested in the whole process than in the figures. I need to explain and create the whole running process and put it into place for the whole company.

Can you please direct me to any good site where I can find all this information? I would like to start creating it, as my deadline is in less than 1 month... and I have just started... cool!
