HI ..to all the predominant members of this forum .. i solicit your valuable suggestions over doing distance learning MBA (HR) program.
I am having 7 years legal exp and interested to do MBA (HR). I am working and can pursue only distance learning course, but a recent discussion on this forum; that distance learning MBA programs does not add much value to the resume, has perplexed me. However, i still want to take up MBA as i strongly feel that HR is very challenging field and a back bone of any organisation.
a) if am going for distance learning MBA (HR) which institute is good and recommended ?
b) or do u recommend Executive MBA program over distance learning ?
I will appreciate your responses...

Hiii,
Iam doing MBA(HR) from Symbiosis Distance Learning. I feel that Symbiosis is good if you are doing from Distance Learning as not sure whether ICFAI is recognized or not. The assignments and exams are objective and online..You can select when you want to write the exams...So its less of theory questions..The topics are easy to understand and you can relate to your line of work and learn..My advice..Do the MBA from Symbiosis...

I am doing DLP from Symbi.
Few of my friends are doing from ICFAI. What they say is that its very difficult and not very easy to continue with work. Most of the people do not complete it in a span of 2 years, as they can not manage reqd time and flunk in one or the other papers. One of my friend had to leave her job to to able to complete it in 2 yrs.
One more disadvntg - ICFAI is around Rs 1 lac for the course and Symbi is around Rs 25 K only for the entire course.
But yes, it goes without saying, the curriculum of ICFAI is very good and always updated.
Symbi curriculum is also good, and the study material is well explanatory.
There are others form IGNOU, Anna Malai, Narsee Monjee etc. You can find about them.
