Good Evening Friends,
A colleague of mine was working in a service company from 1996 to 2001. He neither withdrew nor got his PF transferred to the new company.
Also, the company was based out of Hyderabad. Since 2001, he has been in Bangalore. He wants to know if he has to go to Hyderabad and apply for the withdrawal of his PF or if he can do it from Bangalore itself.
If so, please help us with the procedure for the same.
Thanks & regards,
KS

Hello,
He doesn't need to go to Hyderabad for the procedure; he can do the procedure from Bangalore. Ask him to fill up Form No. 10C, 19, and SSN (recently included). The duly filled-up form should be sent to the old company. Their officials will handle further procedures. He can stay in touch with them to know the status. Since it has been a long time, reopening the old case will take some time, but withdrawal is certainly possible.
Thank you.
