Dear Priya,
As you have said that you already have the experience of working as a customer service associate, it might be wise if you chose the same field as a customer service associate. I suggested this keeping in mind the experience you can gather from the BPO, you always stand a chance to move into the HR department of the same company. And as far as the job in a placement consultancy is concerned i feel that we all know the sort of job profile that we have in those consultants.
I feel that you might be utilizing your potential to the core, and it also does not give a bright picture in your resume as well.
I suggest that ou can take up the job in the BPO and slowly work towards moving to HR department in the same organization. This is just my suggestion, The onus is on you to decide which job will fit your bill.

Hi Priya,
I guess this is first time am responding to your query.. :D
Good course you have pursued..
Whether to work as Associate in a BPO or as a Recruitment Consultant is your career choice. Am sure you would have settled for the later as you have pursued the HR course and also as a consultant you have an edge over others as you have worked in the operations so you would have a better understanding of the positions and decide whether the candidate would "fit in"...
As far as your efforts for Corporate level..all i can say that be positive and be persistent..since you have become a senior member of this forum am sure the nuggets shared here has complemented your knowledge base & skills..therefore it's the matter of the application..
Don;t give up.. :D and review your skills & profile constantly while meeting the prospective companies...
Good luck...
Cheers,
Rajat

Hi Rajat,
I am a new member of this community. I recently completed MBA in HR and IT and started working as an HR Executive. I am happy with the field but all my friends and classmates have gone for marketing and got well placed with fat pay packages. I am the on ly person working for a small firm at a low pay. Sometimes I feel that I took a wrong decision by getting into HR and get demotivated by looking at them. Plz help me overcome this problem. U suggest me to change the field or have patience and gain a good experience in the same field for a bright career down the line for HR being a slow field.

Dear Priya,
I suggust that you go in to work in for the consultancy, since you will get used to the procedures of procuring and filling out the positions, you will gain more knowledge on the recruitment side, and since you have taken the MBA - HR as your specialization it will be quite useful. .
