hello
On my EPF Portal currently my salary bank is linked. However post my notice period is over I will be closing that account as minimum required balance is rs. 100000. Now after 2 months if I have to apply for an EPF withdrawal, how my claim will be settled. Do I need to give a cancel cheque for any other bank where I have my savings account . Is this acceptable?
Thanks,
From India, Mumbai

1) So just to clarify i need to link another savings bank account details and get it approved from my HR
2)Then I can close my salary bank account .
3)So that when after 2 months i will apply for EPF withdrawal my new bank account details will be considered by EPF authorities
Also please can you clarify one more thing as do i need to ask my Company HR to process the EPF withdrawal after 2 months or i can do that online on my own

Hi,
Yes change of Bank account in UAN login is your option. If you are not able to maintain your salary account after resignation, due to minimum balance criteria, then you can link any other personal bank account of yours.
You can apply for PF claim after 2 month from the date of exit, provided you are not employed.

I still need a clarification on one point
say i have two bank account linked on my EPF Portal one is my salary account which will be inactive post my notice period is over and i have linked another savings bank account which is active
Question 1)
Which one will be considered by EPF authorities? It should not happen that they will look for the account which is in inactive state and the withdrawal will fail.
Question 2)
Is there any way by which i can notify or i need to notify the EPF authorities about my active savings account on Portal
