The retirement age is 58 as per provision of the Industrial Employment (Standing Order) Act, 1946. The age of retirement or superannuation of a workman shall be as may be agreed upon between the employer and the workman under an agreement or as specified in a settlement or award which is binding on both the workman and the employer. Where there is no such agreed age, retirement or superannuation shall be on completion of [58]24 years
of age by the workman. Recently In Haryana State it has been extended to 60 years which has been challenged by some Industrial Associations which is now required to be decided by Hon'ble Punjab Haryana High Court, Chandigarh. Copy of the notification is attached
