I resigned from a company after getting offer in Company A. During notice period I was interviewed with company B. I told about the offer in company A and to release offer letter soon. I asked asked for extension in company A as company B not issued my offer letter yet . Company B and it's offer is better than A. What should I do now ? I have 4 days time to join in company A. Im planning to join company A and leave after one week after getting offer in company B . Is it advisable? Will company A create PF within 10 days and company B will get to know

Dear member,

Once you accepted the offer letter, then you should stick to it. Otherwise, you should not have accepted the offer letter at all. Ditching someone's offer for the sake of a better offer is disloyalty of the highest kind.

Please remember that those who were involved in your selection trusted you. They too are in need of employment as much as you. If you give up the employment, then their all efforts will go in vain. Possibly, your exit could be viewed as a poor selection by the recruitment team. It could affect their performance appraisal also. Why do you wish to let down someone? Therefore, don't ever think of taking an offer letter from Company B.

This is a forum for HR professionals. Many members know better what happens when a selected candidate does not turn up or abandons employment just after joining. It throws the operations of the department out of gear. Some of the members might have passed through a motion of frenzied activity of replacement.

Now you have come to the forum of these members who knew well the ill effects of the abandonment of employment and asked them for their advice! It is the height of your audacity!

Well, gentleman, life is long and betrayal is not a one-way street. Forever, the tip of the needle of disloyalty need not remain away from you. A time may come when it could point it toward you. You may enjoy the fruits of betrayal today, however, be prepared to enjoy the victimhood of betrayal also.

Thanks,
