On 2nd and 4th Saturday we work for half a day only. If employee takes causal leave on that day, should his leave be counted as half a day or full day?

Though the company is working only half a day for full day work, you have to deduct full day for the absented employee

I agree. To put it differently, Employee is absent for all the working hours on that particular day. Full day salary deduction is justified. Thanks, -Amar.

Even though you work for only half day on some Saturdays, employees are paid full salary for working on such days. Therefore leave taken on such days will mean full day’s leave. Vasant Nair

The employee who remains absent on Saturday (though half-working day) means he has not reported for duty on that particular day (Saturday) as such will be treated as absent for the day i.e. one day.

Dear
You have to apply Equal pay policy. Those who attend work will be paid full day salary and so those who are on leave can apply for half day only as the company is not paying for that particular half day and pay salary for the second half irrespective of the person.
I think this is correct . You can' t treat individuals in different way.
